This is a hybrid inside sales and customer service role supporting the European sales organization for a global industrial technology business operating in a B2B manufacturing environment. The position plays a key role in driving commercial effectiveness while ensuring a high standard of customer experience across ongoing transactions.
The initial product scope will focus on AMETEK’s Components & Wire portfolio, with manufacturing and operational footprints in the United States and Malaysia. The role works closely with Product Management, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams, and involves regular phone and written engagement with customers across the region.
The position is based in Serbia and reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The role also has a matrixed reporting relationship to the global Customer Service leader for the business unit, based in Montvale, New Jersey.
This role is designed for a commercially minded professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys balancing multiple responsibilities, and brings prior experience managing customer service activities, performance metrics, and customer-facing processes. The objective is to support sustainable commercial growth while delivering consistent, high-quality customer support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Align with Field Sales to optimize customer communications
- Achieve goals for lead qualification, quoting, order entry and status response time
- Follow up with leads from digital marketing, website, phone inquiries and trade shows
- Introduce and maintain new and existing customers to maximize revenue in the European market
- Ensure that general customer service activities (quotes, acknowledgements, invoicing, status updates, RMAs, export compliance, etc.) are being administered to appropriate standards as aligned to company objectives
- Support contract review process related to customer POs
- Align with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to develop and facilitate quotations
- Build rapport with customers and work with the team to respond to customers' requirements
- Maintain and utilize CRM for lead management
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special commercial projects as needed or assigned
