Job Description:
The Credit Manager is responsible for credit and collections for our distributor network including domestically and internationally. As a Credit Manager you will work with customers to maintain and improve excellent credit relationship, actively manage credit relationships, and financial analysis related to new credit relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ownership of the credit relationships for all customers and overseeing all facets of finance and operations related to credit including analysis related to new credit customers.
- Ownership of correct invoicing for all customers, including communication concerning invoicing with customers.
- Follow complete invoicing of all orders and prepare bank guarantees and L/C’s to prevent outstanding amounts. Key contact with banks and internal stakeholders concerning BGs and L/Cs
- Timely preparation and reporting of monthly metrics and KPIs. Review, maintain and implement internal controls. Follow up outstanding amounts with sales team on a weekly basis.
- Prepare monthly schedules, quarterly and year-end work papers, analytics, and financial reports to support key metrics, management directives, and annual audit.
- Develop cross functional knowledge among order entry, customer service, shipping, sales force and manufacturing to provide knowledge base to support and improve credit relationships and minimize uncollectible accounts.
- Provide expertise to minimize probability of credit losses while maintaining effective processes to maximize sales and profitability.
- Monitor and report compliance conditions on an ongoing basis for domestic and international distributors and customers.
- Monitor and report Intercompany reconciliation end of month, including inventory impact.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree - preferably in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years in credit and or related areas of expertise.
- Knowledge of credit processes and key metrics with operational knowledge of calling on customers. Strong interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written). Excellent negotiating skills.
- Knowledge and experience with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with robust worksheet preparation skills and analytical abilities necessary to synthesize data in clear concise manner.
- Strong ability to review and analyze data, develop metrics.
- Ability to disseminate large amounts of data in concise manner and provide key recommendations.
- Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and to “project manage” multiple projects and cross functional teams simultaneously.
- 80% of communication is in the English language, be able to have technical skills to communicate in written in French, Dutch and some German by electronic means
- Have knowledge of European VAT- and customs regulations
- Have knowledge of bank guarantees and L/Cs
