The Controlling Associate plays a pivotal role in leading the controlling and accounting functions within our organization. The primary purpose of this position is to spearhead the development, provision, and continuous improvement of comprehensive reports for day-to-day activities, as well as monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings. The Controlling Associate ensures smooth and efficient processes by leveraging advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, BI Tools (including but not limited to Power BI), as well as our ERP system, Microsoft Navision, and Jet Reports. This role demands a robust background in finance or accounting, with a focus on strategic insights and process optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities :

•    Partner with the finance department to define, develop, and enhance reports and key performance indicators (KPI) critical to the organization. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and strategic relevance of reporting metrics across various areas.
•    Prepare and maintain thorough documentation for existing and new reports, including report specifications, data sources, calculations, and instructions. Ensure documentation is current to facilitate knowledge sharing and guarantee report accuracy.
•    Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support high-level decision-making processes. •    Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes by preparing and reviewing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring data accuracy. Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
•    Ensure data accuracy and consistency through regular validations and reconciliations. Promptly identify and resolve data discrepancies or issues.
•    Utilize advanced technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, BI Tools (such as Power BI), and ERP systems (such as Microsoft Navision, D365, and Jet Reports), to extract, manipulate, and analyse data effectively. Continuously enhance technical capabilities to optimize reporting processes.
•    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to gather requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment in reporting processes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver timely, accurate reports.
•    Exhibit a high level of attention to detail in report preparation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage multiple deadlines effectively to meet reporting requirements under pressure.

 

Position Requirements (nice to have & must have):

•    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

•    Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, BI Tools (especially Power BI), and ERP systems (such as Microsoft Navision, D365, Jet Reports) and HFM.
•    Strong analytical skills to identify trends, anomalies, and provide strategic, data-driven insights.
•    Proven ability to develop and document comprehensive reports and KPIs. •    Exceptional accuracy in data validation, reconciliation, and report preparation.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
•    Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT.
•    Quick learner, capable of adapting to new tools and evolving financial processes.
•    Proactive approach to identifying and resolving data discrepancies and issues.
