Job Description: 

The Accountant Receivables and Payables handles various aspects of the customer accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting close areas along with general compliance and accounting administration, including assisting the Sr. Manager Finance in Denmark.

Duties and Responsibilities

Tabulate and enter daily deposits and maintain cash receipts to the correct entity and account

Investigate debits and track credits

Support collection of receivables, ensuring past dues are minimized

Support customer credit limit determinations, Dunn and Bradstreet research, and lifting credit holds when approved

Assist Sr. Manager Finance with month-end close, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, as needed

Assist with monthly Intercompany reconciliation with Corporate entity

Maintain filing and accounting records for accounts receivable within Navision

Support Accounts Payable and general accounting and related compliance matters as needed

Support VAT, Intrastat and EU sales statistics

Support Internal and External Audit readiness

Provide backup for other members of the Finance team

Assist in developing methods and tools to streamline processes in the Finance department

Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required

Education

Bachelor of Science in Finance/Accounting

Experience

2-6 years in AP or AR accounting and bookkeeping, including cash handling

Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP systems (Navision preferred followed by Oracle)

Effective communication skills and customer orientation 

Analytical skills are an advantage 

Must be a team player with high energy and “can do” attitude

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required
