Job Description: 

 The Accountant is responsible for all accounts receivable activities, general ledger maintenance, and overall financial/accounting support Report directly to the Accounting Manager in the United States. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer invoicing

  • AR collection (research and resolve)

  • Reconcile sales and COS ledgers

  • Reconcile monthly AR Accounts for financial close

 

Cash Management

  • Cash application

  • Disbursements

  • Credit card processing

  • Bank reconciliation

 

General Ledger, Accounting, Tax & Other Support

  • Ensure AR subledgers tie out to the GL

  • Record all cash activity

  • Support AP processing & review

  • Support revenue recognition and reporting

  • Support deferred revenue calculations

  • Sales & Use tax accounting

  • Take ownership of assigned month end closing processes

    • Account reconciliation, IC reconciliations

    • Journal entries

    • Reporting

 

Audit/SOX Compliance:

  • Ensure process documentation remains up to date

  • Perform assigned Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) & internal control testing

  • Cross train & maintain ability to help with assigned AP & GL processes

 

Requirements & Experience:

  •  

  • Associate Degree in Accounting required.

  • 3+ years' experience in accounts payable and general administrative duties within a corporate/manufacturing environment.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

  • Thorough understanding of day-to-day accounting functions.

  • Strong understanding of general business practices and procedures.

  • Proven ability to multi-task in rapidly changing environment.

  •  Ability to make judgments such as resetting priorities is essential.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain positive attitude.

  • Needs to be proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
