Your Impact:

 

The Quality Technician is an important member of Micro-Poise Quality team and reports directly to the Quality Manager. The position will perform incoming inspection and collaborate with Micro-Poise buyers to ensure that the raw materials and components meet the required Quality Standards. The position will be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining company's incoming inspection reports by analyzing engineering drawings
  • Inspecting and testing goods or products according to Quality and Safety standards utilizing CMM, calipers, height gauges, thickness gauges, chamfer gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Identify and report non-conforming material through Quality Portal and work with Buyers on the resolution
  • Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly
  • Identifying possible areas for improvement in Quality control processes
  • Perform in-process audit of machines when required

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician
  • Experience with GDT measuring and inspection tools like CMM, calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative style
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Technical Abilities – read and interpret Engineering Drawings, good troubleshooting skills with a technical product
