Job Description: 

Micro-Poise Measurement Systems, an AMETEK company, is a leading OEM supplier of capital test equipment to the worldwide automotive and tire industries. Markets include all final finish test and measurement solutions for tire manufactures, tire & wheel assembly solutions and drivetrain balancing solutions for automotive manufacturers. Micro-Poise is part of the Process Measurement and Inspection (PM&I) Business Unit with its sister companies LAND and Surface Vision.

 

Job Summary:

The Accounting Associate is a key member of the Micro-Poise team and reports directly to the MicroPoise Controller. This position will support for a board range of responsibilities within General Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Assist with month-end close entries and account reconciliations
  • Support SOX documentation and testing requirements
  • Support business system analytics by generating, collating, and circulating weekly, monthly and/or annual reports
  • Assist with generation of corporate reports or presentations
  • Process high volume of accounts payables invoices including validating information to prevent fraud
  • Ensure proper accounts are charged for invoices
  • Uncover and help solve discrepancies between the POs and the invoice
  • Communicate with vendors and assist in resolving any concerns by working with Purchasing
  • Assist with accounts receivable invoicing and updating customer portals

 

Experience & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or MBA preferred
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills including SOX compliance, general accounting, revenue recognition, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proactive in identifying issues and resolving concerns by implementing process improvements. 
  • Superior organization skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to hold information confidential; ability to collaborate cross-functionally and be flexible with priorities.

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $60,000
Salary Maximum:  $75,000
Incentive:  No
