Job Title: Field Service Engineer- East

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair at client sites. Position requires air travel, on-call status, strong AC/DC power electronics and customer skills.
This position would be located in Eastern US. Primary travel would be within the Eastern Region of the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Air travel 80% of the time leaving on Monday and returning on Friday but may require weekends on occasion for start-up, testing, preventive maintenance, and repair services of Ferro resonant and PWM power inverters, phase-controlled rectifiers, phase conditioners and voltage regulators, static transfer switches, and large storage batteries at client sites.
- This position would be located in the Eastern Region of US. Primary travel would be within the Eastern Region of the US.

- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on power electronic equipment to include Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS); Analog and processor controlled, Power Inverters, Phase controlled rectifiers, Power conditioners, Static switches, Industrial batteries.
- Use drawings and technical documents at your disposable to expedite any repair allowing the client to return to normal operation.
- Use oscilloscopes, multi-meters, infra-red cameras, and other test equipment to perform daily duties.
- Always maintain a safe working environment.
- Understand all applicable electrical safety rules and the PPE requirements of the job.
- Follow all operating practices, standards, and procedures.
- Recognize opportunities to sell the expertise of the company to our clients and help increase sales.
- Provide concise and well written technical service reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain a corporate credit card and track all expenses carefully.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or Military equivalence and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar field with a preference for previous experience testing, installing, and maintaining DC power systems and large stationary batteries in Uninterrupted Power Systems from 24VDC to 600VDC.

- Must be willing to travel and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Must have effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Need to multitask and be capable of managing complex projects.
- Strong AC/DC Power electronics and application skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is beneficial.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently and on occasion 75 lbs. and frequently stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, stretch, twist body, travel by car and airplane.
