Job Description: 

We are looking for a knowledgeable Production Associate who is able to set up, prepare and operate machines. The ideal candidate will need to have attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel. 

Responsibilities:​

  • Monitoring and measuring the quality and dimensions of extruded products.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing any malfunctions or defects in the extrusion process or equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of extrusion machines and tools
  • Recording and reporting production data and performance indicators.
  • Loading raw materials, adjusting settings and feeding the machine. 
  • Understand how different parts of the machine work so they can ensure it runs smoothly and troubleshoot any issues. 

 

Required Experience & Education:​

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years old
  • 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Basic math skills for calculating load weights, distances, and verifying tolerances
  • Computer skills 
  • Critical thinking abilities 
  • Proficiency with hand tools
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills to help in other departments as needed
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and different shifts
  • Stamina to stand and walk for 8-to-12-hour shifts
