Job Description: 

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Intern to support various cross-functional projects within our operations, engineering, and sales teams. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both office and shop floor environments, contributing to real-world projects that improve efficiency, training, and product quality. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Training Content Creation: Capture and edit videos of shop floor procedures to support internal training initiatives. 

  • Operational Excellence (OPEX) Projects: Assist with continuous improvement projects on the shop floor under the guidance of our OPEX lead. 

  • Engineering Support: Work on AutoCAD or Inventor drawings to support design and documentation efforts (preferred experience with either software). 

  • Sales Data Analysis: Collaborate with the sales team to collect, organize, and analyze data related to sales trends and performance. 

  • Hands-On Assembly: Assist in assembling small components in the shop as needed. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or a related field. 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

  • Experience with AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor is a plus. 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. 

  • Comfortable working in both office and shop environments. 

  • Willingness to work on your feet and with your hands in a shop setting  

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while working on the shop floor. 

  • Ability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (up to 25 lbs) as needed for assembly tasks. 

  • Occasional bending, reaching, and climbing may be required during video recording or project support activities. 

 

 WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role involves a mix of desk-based tasks and hands-on work in a manufacturing shop.
