Job Summary:

The Engineering Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures that engineering projects align with production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations. The manager leads a team of engineers and technical staff to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and support new product development. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in daily operations and long-term projects. 
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and R&D. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. 
  • Manage capital projects including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. 
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Support the design and installation of new equipment and technologies. 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff. 
  • Maintain documentation for processes, equipment, and project plans. 
  • Report on engineering performance and project status to senior leadership. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field. 
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with 2+ years in a leadership role. 
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES). 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Work Environment: 

  • Primarily based in office environment at a manufacturing facility. 
  • May require travel to other facilities or vendors. 
  • Exposure to industrial equipment and production areas.
