Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
- Develop and lead execution of the global growth strategy aligned with TPM BU priorities.
- Drive execution of critical growth initiatives with measurable impact on orders growth, market penetration, margin expansion, and Global capability development, based on regional needs.
- Align divisional, regional, and business-level priorities to ensure focus on the highest-value growth opportunities.
Market & Opportunity Development
- Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic growth opportunities at regional and country levels in collaboration with regional and business leadership.
- Lead market analysis, voice-of-customer activities, and competitive assessments to support investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain market sizing models, segmentation analysis, and opportunity pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making. In collaboration with DVP Sales.
- Monitor market, customer, and competitive trends and adjust growth initiatives accordingly.
Commercial Enablement
- Partner with Sales and Aftermarket teams to support growth-focused commercial strategies, including key account development, value-based pricing approaches, and channel strategy.
- Provide early visibility to BU leadership on upcoming opportunities, including expected scope, timing, and capability requirements.
- Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of regional and TPM growth playbooks and best practices.
- Cultivate senior‑level customer and partner relationships, establishing top‑to‑top strategic executive engagement to supplement business‑element relationships, and engaging leaders across operators, EPCs, and strategic accounts to shape long‑term growth strategies and influence early‑stage project positioning.
- Coordinate cross‑business project strategies through a structured project pursuit process (e.g., Miller Heiman or equivalent) applied consistently across business elements, ensuring alignment of sales, marketing, engineering, and aftermarket teams to deliver integrated, customer‑centric solutions.
Portfolio & Capability Alignment
- Identify product, solution, and capability gaps relative to O’Brien market requirements and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with Divisional Marketing and Engineering/R&D teams to translate market needs into clear business cases and development requirements.
- Ensure growth priorities are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders to support effective planning and execution.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a connector across TPM businesses, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and regional alignment.
- Participate in divisional governance, operating rhythms, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent AMETEK TPM with customers, partners, and industry organizations in support of growth strategy and market insight as needed by Sales.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
- Strong knowledge of oil & gas and process industries, with understanding of global market dynamics by region.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, strategy, or growth leadership within a global, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into executable initiatives with measurable commercial outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, including market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive assessment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills across cultures and organizational levels.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, strategy, commercial leadership, or management consulting, including at least 5 years of direct experience within the oil & gas and energy sectors.
- 5+ years of experience working in a global, matrixed organization supporting multiple businesses or regions.
- Broad experience across upstream, midstream, downstream, petrochemical, and associated energy infrastructure markets is preferred, including exposure to national and international customers, operators, EPCs, and service providers.
