Job Description: 

Paragon Medical is hiring for set up operators with experience in Fourslide Set Up, Wireform Set Up, PowerPress Set Up and/or Coiling Set Up. 

 

Essential job functions:

  • Sets up and runs machines per job specification and blueprint (wire type, dimensions, quantity of parts needed and tooling requirements) in order to meet production needs.
  • Installs necessary tooling and sets correct speed and feed rates.
  • Uses technical and mechanical skills this individual monitors, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs machine problems.
  • Properly maintains equipment and tooling.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance to machines.
  • Follows company safety and PPE policies while recommending improvements as they are identified.
  • Visually inspect parts.
  • Report any problems or concerns to team lead.
  • Completion of required daily documentation.
  • Assure good housekeeping and workstation is clean.
  • Maintaining all safety and employee policies and report any infractions or concerns to management.


Skills and Abilities

  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime when required to meet customer demand.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to use standard tools and devices like micrometers, calipers and comparators.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow procedures.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience operating a variety of small hand tools.

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $60,000
Salary Maximum:  $85,000
Incentive:  No
