Summary

Responsible for setup on multiple 4Slide machines and producing quality spring parts.

 

Essential Job Function:

  • Setup and operate 4Slide machines per job specification and blueprint to produce spring parts and meet production needs per quality standards.
  • Based on job orders, installs necessary tooling, and sets correct speed and feed rates.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using comparators, micrometers, calipers and other inspection instruments.
  • Uses technical and mechanical skills this individual monitors, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs machine problems.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance to machines.
  • Maintains work area neat and orderly.
  • Observes all safety rules and policies.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as assigned.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, job orders and interpret part specifications, as well as GD&T.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment such as comparators, micrometers, calipers and scales.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer for entering data.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime when required to meet customer demand.

 

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in 4Slide Setup
  • Journeyperson preferred.

 

 

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $60,000
Salary Maximum:  $80,000
Incentive:  No
