Job Title: Director, Human Resources

The Director of Human Resources is an essential member of the Advanced Surgical leadership team contributing to the development and execution of the business’s annual strategic plan. This position is a senior staff level role at an AMETEK Business Unit based in Southington or Bridgeport, CT. The individual will play a key role in guiding the strategic direction and leading the efficient execution of activities to profitably grow the business. This position reports directly to the AS Business Unit Manager, with a strong dotted line to the Division Vice President of Human Resources, EMIP.
Key Responsibilities:

Partnering with the Division VP of Human Resources to drive talent acquisition, talent management, organizational design, and development strategies, attracting and retaining high-potential talent across all functions and levels of the business.

Utilizing AMETEK standard processes and tools as well as developing innovative and modern strategies to progress the organization forward in talent strategy and employee experience.

Executing AMETEK standard programs, ensuring team is trained and proficient in program requirements, and AMETEK HR operational expectations. Willingness to roll- up sleeves to get things done.

Facilitating annual people processes including compensation planning and performance management.

Collaborating with and coaching the management team to drive improvement, implement cultural change, organization and talent development, workforce planning and a rewarding employee experience.

Building, with Leadership and the HR team, a robust leadership development and succession plan, a career planning process, individual development plans, knowledge transfer plans and onboarding strategies.

Championing appropriate change management and continuous improvement opportunities within the business.
Requirements For Consideration:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8+ years of HR experience in the manufacturing industry with a practical working knowledge of manufacturing concepts (Throughput, Direct Labor Planning, etc.)

P&L exposure and driving transformative change within a manufacturing business

Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment regulations

Ability to partner with and effectively influence Senior Business Leaders

Working knowledge of a manufacturing P&L

Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills

Master’s Degree with 10+ of HR experience preferred
