Job Summary:
Using a ticketing system, the Systems Administrator will determine priorities and contact end users to resolve issues. The Systems Administrator will troubleshoot, configure and/or replace laptop, desktop, and peripheral hardware components. Installs and configures MS Windows Operating Systems and other operating systems as specified. Supports and trains users in the effective use of technology. Keeping good documentation is critical and required. The Systems Administrator will ensure a high level of user satisfaction. The System Administrator must remain current with new and improved technology. Help IT Managed Service Provider to resolve network and server related issues. Will be required to back up Manager Operational Accounting on IT related issues and perform additional duties as requested by manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical
- Troubleshoot software issues in a Windows environment.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues in related PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
- Knowledge and support for corporate infrastructure elements such as Active Directory, virtual servers, IIS, Office 365, Exchange, AX server, SharePoint, VMWare, Email Archivers, VOIP system, and backup and disaster recovery.
- Assists IT Managed Service Provider to set up, configure, and support internal and/or external networks and servers including hardware.
- Perform storage administration (Server, SAN and NAS).
- Maintain all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Assist with upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and helps maintain IT capabilities to execute disaster recovery situation.
- Install and test necessary software and hardware.
- Provide 24 x 7 contact support for all AR entities.
- Assist in the purchasing of all IT equipment as required.
IT Help Desk
- Act as the first line of technical support and response for end users.
- Ability to work in a high call volume environment.
- Resolve IT tickets related to tier 1 software and hardware support: Windows OS, Active Directory, Office D365, PCs, laptops, peripherals, etc.
- Assist in all levels of IT Help Desk.
- Escalate technical issues if non-resolvable.
- Set up new systems and users.
- Assign or change user system access based on approved requests, including network folder access and D365 user permissions.
- Respond in timely manner to user questions/concerns.
- Maintain record of Help Desk requests.
- Maintain all company data backups.
- Respond to needs and questions of users concerning their access to network resources.
- Maintain online help desk of user requests and train users on help desk.
- Provide basic training in PC skills and PC applications, cell phones, smart phones and Company internal phone system.
- Maintain comprehensive records and inventory of end-user IT equipment, Company phones, installed software, and access privileges.
Administrative/General
- Provide administrative support as requested by Business Segment Controller.
- Maintain open communication with all levels in the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years or more experiences preferred
- Help Desk or Desktop support experience required
- Strong customer service abilities
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; reach; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
