Job Summary:
Design and develop complete documentation for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and mechanical parts used in the packaging of industrial electronic products. Collaborate with Engineers in the organization, review, and release of product design documentation. Oversee cross-departmental Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process.
Position Requirements (nice to have & must have):
- Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university plus 5 years’ experience in PCB design or two year Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical degree plus 10 years’ experience in PCB design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in the use of Altium Designer, AutoCAD, EPD-AutoCAD (Electronics Packaging Designer) and Autodesk Inventor.
- Familiarity with the IPC standard and best practices in circuit board layout
- Experienced in the best practices in detailing electrical and mechanical drawings
- RF microwave PCB layout experience
- Preferred/Desired Requirements
- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool BlueStar and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool D365
- Experience with LPKF rapid PCB prototyping machines
- Comprehensive understanding of RoHS requirements as it relates to PCB design
