Job Summary:

Perform assembly and repair work on low, medium and high-power PWB assemblies, modules or other products following instructions, parts lists assembly drawings, and/or pictures and sketches and wire lists and using a variety of hand tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assembly
    1. Align and assemble parts such as leads, coils, wires, and terminals into housings or PC Boards.    
    2. Route and lace wires.
    3. Install components and parts such as switches, coils, transformers, relays, transistors, and semiconductor circuits onto chassis, circuit boards, and other units.
    4. Route and attach wires and connectors to form circuitry.
    5. Replace defective components and wiring.
    6. Enter information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
    7. Bolt, clip, screw, cement, solder or otherwise fastens parts together.
    8. Assemble simple PC boards under the guidance of a Team Lead or Supervisor.
    9. Accurately cut, strip, crimp, measure, terminate, tin, mark wire by hand.
    10. Accurately cut/trim/form component leads to length using hand cutters and forming tools.
    11. Install harnesses per instructions to module assemblies to achieve a neat quality product
    12. Perform visual self-inspection of completed work.
    13. Assemble complex PC boards.
    14. Prepare wiring harnesses according to wire list and instructions from Engineering/Work Order documentatio
    15. Provide assembly instructions to lower level employees and others, as needed
    16. Read, interpret and correct wire lists, assembly drawings and schematics.

    1. Maintain a working knowledge of parts and wire lists.
    2. Maintain knowledge of the use and application of hand tools and power tools.
    3. Meet or exceed departmental and personal quality and productivity goals.
    4. Understand the Company quality policy and how the duties of the job relate to it.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • One year related experience and/or training
  • Must be able to use hand tools
  • Possess a basic understanding of electrical components and circuitry
  • Ability to follow assembly instructions
  • Must be able to use soldering iron, hand tools and simple power tools.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds

Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $60,000
