Job Summary
Develops and maintains the company production plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains a production plan and inventory plan within lean environment.
- Works closely with customer to meet production plans.
- Identifies capacity constraints and brings recommendations to management for resolution.
- Provides planning support to all new product introductions.
- Pursues contentious improvement in all activities.
- Assists in developing financial budgets.
- Provide information on plant metrics and performance.
- Routinely review performance against the existing production schedule and makes adjustments as needed.
- Responsible for addressing backorders with vendors and developing plans to recover.
- Maintains integrity of planning data within ERP system and conducts periodic reviews.
- Responsible for performance management, including selection, training, employee development, performance reviews, cross training, and disciplinary action.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.
Education
- 4 Year Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field preferred. APICS certification preferred.
Experience
- 5-10 years
- Previous supervisory experience preferred. Previous experience and knowledge of GMP within the medical device field preferred.
