Job Summary

Responsible to coordinate the flow of product for internal secondary operations to meet customer ship dates. This role has the responsibility for overall project status, up to and including identifying and facilitating resolution to potential issues to ensure schedule commitments are being met. This position is support to Production Facilitator and Master Scheduler.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct secondary production activities (example – welding, laser, pack, final inspection, receiving inspection, ultrasonic clean, glass bead finishing, assembly) and establish production goals and priorities to support effective operations and timely deliveries.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating production schedules and plans for secondary operations as needed to functional areas.
  • Secondary production scheduling, including expediting for delivery.
  • Attend informational meetings to enhance the knowledge of internal and external customer needs as to better schedule product at secondary operations.
  • Contact person for expediting product through the facility.
  • Coordinate production activities with purchasing and quality control to obtain optimum production.
  • Uses independent judgment to resolve any issues with delivery schedules and schedule completion.
  • Works directly with the Cell Leaders to determine schedule priorities while maintaining maximum efficiencies on the floor.
  • Assists in determining capacity for secondary operations and determining capacity restraints.
  • Review Daily Ship List for shipment delays and expedite, as needed.
  • Update Customer Sales Orders with New Ship Dates.
  • Distribute Daily Ship List to team members.
  • Order and check in labels for Customer Orders that require specific labels for packaging and shipment.
  • Update Customer Sales Orders with New Ship Dates.

  • May assist in scheduling functions depending on business need.
  • May assist in other areas, as necessary.
  • Once employee demonstrates competency in position, he/she may be required to train others in similar roles.

 

Education

  • High School or GED

 

Experience

  • 1-2 years - Knowledge of manufacturing routings (flow or product) required. Knowledge of raw materials, productions processes and outsourcing preferred.

  • Effective communicator with strong oral, written, and telephone skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal customers and cross functional teams
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Extensive hands on experience with Visual Manufacturing or equivalent MRP system

Compensation

Employee Type:  Hourly
Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $65,000
