Job Summary:
As an integral part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and client needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of medical device manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Establishes customer rapport and builds relationships with customers.
- Demonstrates to potential customers how and why services would suit customer needs better than competitors’ services.
- Provides technical sales support to clients and commercial team.
- Works with customers and plant production engineering to determine how products or services could be designed or modified to best suit customers' needs.
- Is aware of and understands the marketplace and competitive solutions.
- Is a quote gatekeeper and single point of contact, for determining and distributing to the correct plant and tracking quote lead time, wins/losses, as well as strategies to improve.
- Reviews cost estimates, quotations and performs the necessary follow-up activities to facilitate new business with plant teams directly.
- Works with BU Controller to develop quote strategies as well as techniques/strategies at CM v GM.
- On large opportunities oversee and report sales price / gross margin position and review for approval with the ELT and BU leadership.
- Visit/ learn and become expert on the capabilities/needs of partner locations.
- Reviews documents such as customer design specifications and requests to determine feasibility of design and applicability.
- Participates actively in the contract review process to impart learned information.
- Continual involvement in new technologies pertaining to Engineering and Manufacturing
- Develop, implement, and optimize machining processes for medical implants and instruments
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce cycle times, increase productivity, and enhance product quality
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to resolve issues related to machining processes and equipment.
- Analyze production problems, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with relevant regulatory standards, including FDA, ISO 13485, and other industry-specific requirements.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of new machining technologies and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality assurance, and production staff, to ensure successful project execution.
- Train and Mentor manufacturing personnel on new processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver technical training materials and sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Develops effective relationships with all functions within the organization.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related field.
