Job Title: Business Director - Asia, Middle East, Africa

The Business Director AMEA will join a global, multi-site business unit that designs and manufactures uninterruptible power systems for critical industrial applications.
The selected candidate will spearhead the sales and business development areas driving high-growth initiatives in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea and the MEA region.
You will own the sales strategy leading the Regional Sales Managers to strengthen Solidstate Controls position and achieve annual targets for the Equipment and Aftermarket segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the sales team in the region.
- Develop and execute a sales and business strategy for the region to expand revenue and profitability.
- Evaluate the current sales coverage and recommend a channel development initiative to select, develop and manage channel partners across the area of responsibility
- Accelerate revenue growth across the O&G, Refining, Petrochemical and Power Industry segments.
- Foster strong relationships with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC’s) firms, Power Distribution Centers (PDC’s) and End-Users.
- Oversee the development and management of a robust pipeline of capital and service opportunities.
- Own opportunity progression through a disciplined sales process and CRM rigor
- Partner with operations, engineering, and applications specialist to shape complex technical and commercial proposals.
- Maintain up to date understanding of industry trends and products/services that affect target markets.
- This position will report to VP Sales Solidstate Controls.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong background in sales and business development.
- Proven experience working across Southeast Asian and Middle East markets
- 5–10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3–5 years in people management or sales leadership.
- Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Proven success through execution of a consultative sales process.
- Outstanding communication and networking skills.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
- Adaptability and flexibility to change.
- Computer skills to include Outlook, Salesforce.com, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of industrial UPS systems are a plus.

This position is a remote role, ideally residing in Singapore. 50%+ travel may be required.
