Job Description: 

The Hughes-Treitler Business Unit designs and manufactures state of the art plate-fin heat exchangers, cold plates, condensers, evaporators, and other heat transfer products. We provide custom design and engineering services, to high quality manufacturing standards, for the aircraft, engine and industrial heat exchangers in the mobile/marine/avionics/space and missile markets.

 

Position Summary:

 

Responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of employees, ensuring the safe execution of operational tasks and maintaining established standards of quality, productivity, and work discipline.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Organize and coordinate the work of assigned team members.
  • Assign tasks according to operational priorities.
  • Monitor task completion and achievement of daily objectives.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and workforce allocation.
  • Motivate and support employees in their daily activities.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and support the onboarding of new employees.

Process Execution and Oversight

  • Perform operational activities when required to support production and resolve workflow issues.
  • Monitor and ensure the proper execution of operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with established work standards and procedures.
  • Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Escalate significant issues to management and support functions as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Logistics departments.

Quality

  • Ensure adherence to quality requirements and standards.
  • Verify that operations are performed in accordance with approved documentation and procedures.
  • Support activities related to the elimination of nonconformances.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

Safety

  • Enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Participate in investigations of incidents, near misses, and safety-related events.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workplace organization and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in projects focused on improving productivity and quality.
  • Implement and maintain visual management standards.

Reporting

  • Report team performance and operational issues to management.
  • Maintain required operational and production records.
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, and workforce utilization.

 

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Technical high school diploma or higher education degree.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Previous experience coordinating or leading a team is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational problems.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of production and quality performance metrics.

Leadership Competencies

  • Ability to build credibility and influence within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a high sense of accountability.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

Languages

  • English proficiency at B1 level or higher preferred.

Salary Range - 110,000 - 150,000 PLN annually
