Job Title: Network Security Engineer - EMEA

This role provides engineering and operational support for the company's network security infrastructure, including firewalls, DMZ environments, partner connectivity, VPN/ZTNA solutions, and remote access services. The position assists with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of network security technologies to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-effective connectivity across the enterprise.
The role works closely with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional IT teams to support network security projects, evaluate new technologies, and help deliver solutions aligned with business objectives and established security standards. Additionally, this position assists operational teams with troubleshooting and escalation support for complex network security issues while continuing to develop technical expertise in enterprise network security technologies.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network Security Engineering & Architecture
- Design and implement network security solutions.
- Develop architecture standards, roadmaps, and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging network security technologies.
Operations & Support
- Provide Tier 3 network security support and incident resolution.
- Manage network security infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Support root cause analysis for major incidents.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with data networking and cybersecurity teams to maintain secure network architectures.
- Support segmentation, NAC, firewall integration, and compliance requirements.
Lifecycle & Vendor Management
- Manage hardware and software lifecycle planning.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and technology refresh programs.
Project Delivery
- Participate in global infrastructure and business transformation projects.
- Develop implementation plans and technical documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical or business field
Experience:
- 5-8 years of enterprise network security experience in relevant platforms, technologies and services with a focus on Firewalls, DMZ, VPN, Partner connections, etc.
- Clear understanding of IT Infrastructure lifecycle: Architecture, Design and Operations. Working knowledge of all areas of IT Infrastructure.
- Diverse technical team experience and working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in a regulated global environment, preferably in manufacturing, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
OTHER SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Managing Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet)
- Managing Load Balancer Platforms (Preferred)
- Managing DMZ environments and Partner connections
- Managing VPN/ZTNA and Remote Access technologies
- Managing cloud network and security infrastructure (preferred)
- Understanding Systems and Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
- Automation experience (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
