Job Title: Finance Manager

The person working in this position is responsible for managing the finances of Paragon Siechnice Sp. z o.o. and MLV68 Sp. z o. o., including maintaining monthly accounting registers, preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports, creating annual budgets and strategic planning, reporting and tax settlement according to Polish and American standards. The person working in this position is also responsible for providing support to the CEO and management team in the field of financial analysis and information needed to make appropriate business decisions. Additionally, this position is responsible for implementing and overseeing financial and accounting policies and procedures, as well as working with external auditors on annual financial reporting and statutory audits. The person in this position is also responsible for supervising the employees subordinated to him.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring the reliability of operational and financial reporting to ensure that the management staff properly understands the Company's financial situation
- Supporting business decisions by providing data and analyzes for new investments, as well as monitoring business processes and providing optimization recommendations
- Analysis of existing financial processes in terms of new implementation of the ERP system, including integration of IT systems
- Maintaining the company's accounting system and maintaining books and records of all company transactions and assets in accordance with local and U.S. accounting standards. GAAP
- Optimizing the use of cash and resources, forecasting cash flows, examining needs and solutions in the field of foreign exchange
- Preparing and submitting a monthly financial reporting package to the Company within a specific deadline set by the Company group
- Manage all finance functions
- Providing support to the HR Department as needed in the processing, approval and settlement of payroll.
- Coordinate and manage the preparation of budget and financial forecasts.
- Ensuring local tax compliance and reporting across finance, employee reporting, corporate reporting and VAT reporting.
- Creation and management of accounting policies ensuring appropriate internal control.
- Developing and maintaining/managing a local database system in accordance with guidelines provided by the company.
- Giving opinions and analyzing current tax liabilities by looking for tax optimization opportunities and obtaining grants.
- Giving opinions on an insurance package to ensure protection against loss of property and potential liabilities in cooperation with the company.
- As the department grows and additional Finance Department employees are employed, the responsibilities of the person in this position include:
- Managing and supervising the daily work performed by the Finance Department,
- Preparing the annual evaluation of Finance Department employees.
- Recommending training needs for Finance Department employees to maintain the highest level of skills to meet the company's needs and goals.

- Commitment to financial results and effective implementation of the business plan of Paragon Siechnice Sp z o. o.
- Compliance with standards that are part of the quality policy

- Knowledge of internal documents and regulations applicable at Paragon Siechnice Sp z o.o. applying them in practice

- Compliance with the environmental policy applicable at the plant
- Supervision of an external company providing IT services
OBLIGATIONS AND POWERS:
- Granting bonuses, raises, promotions, warnings or reprimands to subordinate employees.
- Requesting the superior to terminate the contract with a subordinate employee/employ the employee.
- Organizing the workplace in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations and principles.
- Ensuring the availability and efficiency of personal protective equipment and their use as intended.
- Organizing, preparing and conducting work, taking into account the protection of employees against accidents at work, occupational diseases and other diseases related to the conditions of the working environment.
- Taking care of the safe and hygienic condition of work rooms, workstations and technical equipment, as well as the efficiency of collective protection measures and their use in accordance with their intended purpose.
- Enforcing employees' compliance with health and safety regulations and principles.
- Ensuring compliance with the recommendations of the doctor providing health care to employees.
- Compliance with health and safety regulations and principles is the employee's basic obligation.
- In particular, the employee is obliged to:
- know the regulations and principles of occupational health and safety, take part in training and instruction in this field and take the required examinations;
- perform work in a manner consistent with the provisions and principles of occupational health and safety and follow the orders and instructions issued by superiors in this regard;
- take care of the proper condition of machines, devices, tools and equipment as well as order and tidiness in the workplace;
- use collective protective equipment, as well as use assigned personal protective equipment and work clothes and footwear, in accordance with their intended use;
- undergo initial, periodic, follow-up and other recommended medical examinations and follow medical recommendations;
- immediately notify your supervisor about any accident or threat to human life or health noticed at the workplace and warn your co-workers and other people in the danger area, about the danger that threatens them;
- cooperate with the employer and superiors in fulfilling occupational health and safety obligations.
COMPETENCIES:
- Master Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance,
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Plant Controller, Controlling Manager position in a manufacturing companies,
- Proven experience in financial control and reporting,
- Practical knowledge of US GAAP will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and influencing skills,
- Proactive and flexible attitude,
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
