Job Summary:
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to customers through installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of company systems and equipment. This role ensures high equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, and compliance with service standards while acting as a key technical interface between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams. The Field Service Engineer plays a critical role in sustaining long-term customer relationships and supporting business growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive image of AMETEK within the industry by providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
- Assist customers in resolving technical problems.
- Use manual/automated test system to record test results using ATP (Acceptance Test Procedures).
- Perform basic to intermediate level troubleshooting to isolate and determine the root cause on a digital and analog circuitry.
- Perform factory and on-site service including installation, repair, calibration, product upgrade and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate with customer service to requisition replacement equipment and facilitate equipment returns
- Complete timely and accurate service logs/work orders.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment within service center, coordinates with customer service to replenish equipment as it is used.
- Escalates issues that cannot be directly resolved to service management for prompt resolution
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum one-year relevant experience, with field service preferred.
- Proficiency with an oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering iron, heat gun and other testing tools.
- Computer literacy including MS Office.
