Job Title:  Application engineer

Responsibilities

• Planning, execution and documentation of application engineering projects and milling trials
• Close collaboration with the sales team to technically clarify and successfully execute customer projects
• Providing technical consulting to customers with the goal of supporting project and order closure together with sales
• Supporting the development of customer-specific solutions and quotations
• Contributing to the establishment and development of application and technology standards in the market
• Delivering training and providing technical support while coordinating closely with internal stakeholders

Profile | Qualifications

• Completed technical training (e.g. industrial mechanic) with further qualification as a technician or a comparable background
• Several years of experience in 5-axis milling and solid knowledge of CNC controls (ideally Heidenhain)
• Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM systems, preferably HyperMill (Open Mind)
• Strong technical understanding and ability to develop customer-specific solutions
• Structured and independent working style combined with a strong customer focus and affinity for working closely with sales teams
• Good English communication skills and willingness to travel
