Job Title: Team Leader

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads Assemblers by understanding and demonstrating the ability to perform a wide variety of production operations while also performing direct production work.
- Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment to aid in achieving department goals, offering direction or coaching when needed. Understanding of released work orders and their status in the production schedule and delegates assignments to the Assembler team where necessary.
- Maintains workflow in Operations by ensuring the availability of proper materials and tools.
- Interacts with Operations Manager to determine root cause of problems that interfere with productivity and pro-active in assisting with solutions.
- Provides training to new or less experienced operators, identifies training improvement opportunities and facilitates employee cross-training initiatives.
- Provides feedback to Operations Manager regarding employee performance and ensuring team members are adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Participates in various department meetings as they pertain to Operations.
- Maintains confidentiality of company and employee information.
- Adheres to all company safety, quality, policies and procedure
- Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six to eight years of operations/manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical schematics / diagrams, maintenance instructions, and operations procedures.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to others.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.) in daily tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree and/or Technical Certifications.
- Previously demonstrated leadership abilities in a similar role
- Soldering experience (wiring and through-hole).
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small parts
- Work is typically performed at a variety of locations within the department (which includes walking or standing) for up to 8 hours
