Job Title: Inventory and Logistics Specialist

The Inventory and Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing inventory accuracy, processing material receipts, assisting with outbound logistics, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing production delays, and supporting overall operational efficiency.
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using Oracle ERP inventory management system.
Conduct and process all material movement activities to support operations.
Receive and process all material receipts and, if necessary, perform receiving inspection on critical components.
Assist in performing monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
Logistics Coordination
Coordinate outbound shipments of raw materials and components to 3rd party vendors.
Manage outbound shipments of finished goods and service items to customers or distribution centers.
Work with freight carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with procurement, operations, engineering and quality teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery.
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and logistics efficiency.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Safety
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse or storage area.
Maintain Hazardous Waste storage area and coordinate pickups for proper disposal.
All other duties as assigned.
Associate’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered (5+ years) in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
