Job Description: 

Summary: We are offering the opportunity to be a part of a diverse, highly qualified team within AMETEK Programmable Power.  As a Purchasing Intern, you will be providing critical support both to our customers and internal teams.  In the process you will learn about all aspects of the company through collaboration with multiple departments. 

 

Some examples of what a Purchasing Intern will do include:

  • Work with suppliers to reschedule purchase orders
  • Data management/updating in MRP system
  • Data reporting and publishing
  • Work with warehouse team to solve receiving problems
  • Work with finance to solve invoice issues

 

Preferred concentrations in school: Purchasing, Supply Chain

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competency Requirements:  

Junior or Senior within a Supply Chain program. Strong communication skills and the desire to problem solve. Experience using MS Office. Knowledge of MRP and Supply Chain concepts.  Data analytics experience a plus.

Schedule/Work Hours (max 28 hours per week): 20-28 hours per week (Summer - full-time)

Salary range: $22-26 per hour

Salary Minimum:  $45,000
Salary Maximum:  $55,000
