Job Summary:

Lead a team of Technicians to perform a variety of testing and troubleshooting complex system using various test measurement equipment and automated test systems. Perform basic to complex level troubleshooting on digital and analog circuitry to component level. Read schematics and engineering drawing. Primary responsibility is to troubleshoot defective assets to component level. In general, this role is expected to function at 70% direct Technician and 30% leading the team.

 

Standard Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

 

Overtime: Ability to work overtime Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead team and distribute work daily throughout the shift to meet production schedule.
  • Audit the Quality for compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and AMETEK Workmanship Standards.
  • Facilitate cross-training to reduce bottlenecks and mitigate risks of single point failure.
  • Monitor efficiency to set working standards to achieve daily productivity goals.
  • Help resolve/escalate issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Enforce all AMETEK Policies/Processes/Procedures and Safety rules/policies.
  • Lead 6S activities (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), including daily clean-up at the end of the shift and monthly Gemba walks.
  • Hold individuals accountable for tool control, equipment preventive maintenance, and record keeping.
  • Provide input on annual Performance Appraisals in his/her group.
  • Run daily Tier 1 meeting with team to assign tasks, set priorities, and resolve conflicts.
  • Facilitate Tier 2 (SQDIP) meeting in the absence of a Supervisor/Manager.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 - 4 years of related experience. Technician levels 3 - 5 will vary based on years of experience and scope of responsibilities.
  • Electronic Technician Certificate and/or AS/BS Degree in Electronics /  Engineering.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
  • Due to the nature of our programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong Analytical skills, ability to problem solve, attention to detail and technical acumen.
  • Solid background in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of electromechanical equipment to the component level.
  • Experience working with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, RMS meters, high power conversion equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to identify both surface mount and through-hole components, including component values/color-coding.
  • Working experience using mechanical hand tools.
  • Must perform moderately complex math and be able to read, understand, and adhere to technical documents and procedures.
  • Efficient MS Word and Excel User.

Salary Range:

The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $25.00 - $35.00. In addition, this position will recieve a $2.00 lead differential. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
