Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Support position will be responsible for the daily activities for order entry of new product, spares and repair activity. This includes the review of purchase orders, scheduling of products, and customer updates and/or status. This is a critical position that provides support with purchase orders, scheduling and customer support.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all incoming purchase orders. Resolve contractual issues with customers, as needed.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order and schedule updates/issues.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineering regarding Bill of Materials (BOM’s), Engineering Service Requests (ESR’s), part numbers, pricing issues, and sales order coding.
  • Schedule products to include working with Production Planners, ESR process, and Engineering Systems Group (ESG).
  • Order entry into the Oracle ERP system.
  • Issue Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) into customer service database.
  • Interface with Domestic Sales Representatives, International Distributors, and Regional Managers regarding order status, customer issues, and commission/discount questions.
  • Partner with Shipping department for coordination of shipment and international documents, as required.
  • Issue credit/debits for sales order corrections, as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service or sales related position.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other database applications.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system and Salesforce preferred.

Salary Range:
The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $40,000 - $60,000. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
