Job Title:  Wirer

As a Wirer, you will be racking, wiring, masking in preparation for electroplating of metallic bodies and electrodes.

The Wirer will be:

• Racking and wiring of metallic bodies and electrodes in preparation for electroplating. 
• Masking of selected areas on parts to prevent adherence of plating. 
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or management. 

     The Wirer position requirements:

• Excellent manual dexterity and ability to visually inspect plated product for conformance to specifications. 
• Ability to read and understand plating specifications. 
• As training permits, ability to use X-Ray diffraction equipment to verify plating thickness. 
• Gaging of threaded parts and the use of electrical equipment. 
• Ability to clean parts to ensure conformance and removal of any contaminant on surface. 
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 15 Lbs. 
• Ability to repeatedly stand, walk and bend. 
• Ability to work in a production environment with moderate level of noise, minimal fumes, irritants, gases and chemicals and constant temperature changes. 
• Ability to perform assigned duties with little supervision. 
• Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
• Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications. 
• Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
