Job Title:  Shipping and Receiving Clerk

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will  be responsible for counting, packaging, and preparing paperwork for shipments. This role requires cross-training to perform all operations within the shipping, receiving, and stockroom departments.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will:

• Shipment Preparation: Count and package parts for shipment. Prepare and present paperwork for inspection and sign-off.
• Order Fulfillment: Ship parts according to customer orders or other instructions.
• Operational Monitoring: Monitor operations and take corrective actions as needed.
• Liaison Duties: Act as a liaison in the absence of the Receiving Associate.
• Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor or management.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk position requirements:

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using UPS, Federal Express, and other carrier software, forms, rates, and procedures.
• Export Knowledge: Familiarity with international export shipping paperwork and documentation requirements, including commercial invoices, letters of instructions, sight drafts, and export license procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills and the ability to count parts using an electronic weigh scale.
• Physical Abilities: Good hand dexterity, good eyesight (natural or corrected), and the ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting 15 to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Frequent standing, walking, and bending are required.
• Availability: Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
• Forklift Operation: Ability to operate a forklift to load/unload merchandise.
• Inventory Management: Responsible for ordering, receiving, and managing packaging supplies in the warehouse. Ensure point-of-use materials are available at packaging and shipping workstations.
• Coordination: Ship and receive outside processes in coordination with the purchasing department.
• Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high-volume noise level and dust. 
• Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
