Job Description: 

The Inside Sales Manager will lead and develop the Inside Sales team with a primary focus on delivering exceptional service to Hermetic Seal Corporation customers. This role is responsible for building team capability through effective leadership and training, while ensuring the timely and accurate execution of business transactions. The Manager will support customer expectations, company sales strategies, and business objectives, take ownership of the pricing process, and ensure full compliance with all company policies and applicable government regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service and operational excellence, including:
  • Timely and accurate preparation of quotations in accordance with company guidelines, with responsive and professional communication regarding customer RFQs.
  • Verification that customer purchase orders and change orders align with approved quotations prior to acceptance.
  • Management of customer-driven production schedules for discrete orders, blanket orders, and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Active management of the order backlog in line with business unit objectives and policies.
  • Prompt handling of customer complaints, ensuring Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) comply with company procedures and meet customer expectations.
  • Strict adherence to U.S. Government export controls and all applicable company compliance requirements.
  • Direct quotation pricing strategies and ensure alignment with company margin and growth objectives.
  • Ensure disciplined quote follow-up and implement strategies to improve quote-to-order conversion rates.
  • Maintain, document, and continuously improve inside sales processes and workflows to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular performance and skills assessments of ISRs and take decisive action to improve individual and team effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key interface between customers and cross-functional teams—including field sales, engineering, and operations—to support new business development.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on key departmental performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans.
  • Actively participate in customer engagements by presenting the value, features, and benefits of AMETEK products and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements for Consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a management role within an industrial B2B inside sales environment
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead teams in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute effective pricing strategies.
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to address conflict in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $90,000
Salary Maximum:  $120,000
Incentive:  1288
