Job Title:  Engineer I

We are seeking a highly motivated entry-level mechanical Engineer to report to the NPD Department to support the design, manufacture, and continuous improvement of high-reliability glass-to-metal seal (GTMS) products used in aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications. This position offers hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, materials engineering, hermetic sealing technology, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in new product introduction, process validation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, routings, work instructions, and drawings.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Operations, and Design Engineering teams.
• Support manufacturing and production operations for hermetic sealing products.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience (internships and co-op experience welcomed).
• Proficient with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or electronics packaging environments.
• Knowledge of GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, or statistical analysis methods.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce cost. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
