We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Navitar business in Rochester, NY.

Our Navitar team designs, develops and manufactures innovative optical solutions for clients and enterprises across the globe. Solutions include complete optomechanical and optoelectronic assembly and sub-assembly systems. Our products range from high magnification motorized zoom imaging systems to fisheye projection lenses used in a wide variety of industries including Life Sciences, Industrial Imaging, Microscopy and Projection

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for the flow of goods in and out of the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Prepare items for shipment and receiving incoming products; create shipping documents using ERP or other software
  • Inspect incoming shipments to verify quantity and quality, document discrepancies
  • Record and track shipments, update databases, and manage all documentation associated with shipping and receiving
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and proper storage of items
  • Pick parts from inventory to kit jobs and deliver to production floor
  • Perform daily cycle counts; troubleshoot and document discrepancies
  • Operate a safe and organized work environment
  • Communicate internally and externally with team, customers and suppliers as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

High School diploma or GED

Attention to detail, with strong time management and organizational skills

Basic computer skills

Basic math aptitude

Proactive communicator who collaborates well with others

Prior warehouse or facility logistics experience; experience operating warehouse equipment preferred (fork lift license not required)

Ability to lift, push, pull and move products and items
