What you will do:

  • Implement process controls based on risk assessment to either mitigate risk or ensure the point of generation detection of quality defects/concerns.
  • Investigate incoming supplier quality nonconformities. Work with suppliers where needed to facilitate the implementation of corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the ongoing calibration status of all in-house MTE to ensure that all active devices remain within calibration.
  • Develop current Process Failure Mode Analyses (PFMEAs) for all manufacturing processes, with initial focus on core manufacturing processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis on quality issues as directed and prioritized. Implement corrective actions associated with the true root cause of a given quality concern to ensure correction and prevent recurrence. 
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary, recurring Material Review Board (MRB) meetings that assess internally reported nonconformities for disposition.
  • Investigate any returned goods from customers to identify root case and implement subsequent corrective action where applicable.
  • Support continuous improvement activity within the facility. Launch and/or participate in multi-disciplinary Kaizen events as needed to enhance productivity and/or quality performance within the facility.
  • Manage RMA processing, root cause corrective actions, MRB experience a plus.

What you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Materials/Quality or Optical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience managing and analyzing processes and flow in manufacturing high-mix, electro-mechanical environment - experience in mechanical, optical, and opto-mechanical assembly process development preferred.
  • Ability to apply statistical tools to analyze manufacturing processes.
  • Core knowledge of quality tools, terminology, and methods.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to conduct RCA and corrective action analysis for process control and variation.
  • Working knowledge of Six SIGMA and DMAIC process.
  • Ability to lead teams to conduct investigations to determine root cause and develop, implement, and track closure of corrective actions.

Compensation

Salary Minimum:  $80,000
Salary Maximum:  $110,000
