As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will embark on an exciting 11-week journey, working on impactful projects that allow you to develop essential engineering skills and contribute to meaningful advancements in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Fixture Development: Design and develop fixturing solutions for Navitar Precision alignment fixtures.
- Automation Implementation: Create procedures and processes to implement automation and data collection for products.
- Testing and Use Cases: Develop testing protocols and use cases for Navitar products to ensure quality and performance.
- Engineering Collaboration: Contribute to Engineering Change Orders within a multidisciplinary team.
- Customer and Production Support: Work with customers and the production team to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues.
Preferred Majors or Coursework:
- Mechatronics Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming Proficiency: Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C#, and C++.
- Mechanical Design Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD software and mechanical engineering design principles.
- Engineering Expertise: Understanding of engineering design theories and principles related to the area of assignment.
- Technical Writing: Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
- Presentation Skills: Strong communication skills to present ideas effectively to all levels of management.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
