Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting operations such as reviewing assembly and test procedure, troubleshooting technical errors, identifying process improvements, and addressing various engineering-related needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support New Product Introduction and sustaining activities for mature products
- Identify areas of improvements including procedures or tools to improve productivity & provide feedback to Engineers
- Utilize Software tools & procedures to assemble & test optical products
- Document failures and provide feedback to production personnel to help drive manufacturing process improvements
- Review assembly & test procedures and provide feedback for correcting errors and improving processes
- Evaluate current assembly & testing practices and identify areas of improvement
- Enforce quality control to reduce waste through focused and unbiased adherence to assembly & test requirements
- Document Assembly & Test Procedures
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to implement updates/changes
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects
- Communicate with Engineering to ensure timely resolution of roadblocks
- Demonstrate aptitude to learn and develop relevant knowledge areas
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in managing work flow in a fast-paced production environment
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years experience in Optics and Engineering
- Experience with working in a test lab with software tools
- Experience with handling of optical parts and assemblies
- Ability to read blueprints, procedures, and test requirements
- Ability to work with computers and software programs
- Excellent Verbal & Written Skills
- Excellent and Timely Communication Skills
- Associates degree and/or equivalent work experience
