As an Optician, you will be producing high-end spherical optical surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all optical fabrication processes including, but not limited to, coring, curve generating, plano generating, beveling, blocking, grinding, polishing, test plating, optical testing using an interferometer, cleaning, assembly and more 

• Interpret advanced metrology results (micro-roughness, high order figure error, specific Zernikes, and Power Spectral Density), in order to make proper adjustments in process to achieve ever greater results

• Experience with CNC equipment (Optotech, Satisloh, Schneider, etc.) is a plus

• Follows prescribed safety regulations and understands and follows ISO procedures

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5-8 years of experience in Optical Manufacturing Environment
• Lapping and Polishing basics for Spheres and Plano Optics
• Basic lens blocking
• Shop math, Metric and Standard
• Team Collaboration
• Attention to Detail
• Mechanical ability (able to use calipers, micrometers, etc.)
