Job Description: 

The Welder Technician is responsible for electronic assembly, soldering, PCB rework, cable routing, inspection, and support of manufacturing processes while ensuring product quality and compliance with IPC standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products according to Drawings, Assembly Instructions, and Routers.
  • Sign off on the Router for each operation performed and inspected.
  • Responsible for inspection and packaging of finished products.
  • Perform production line setup activities.
  • Ensure proper use of ESD equipment to protect products.
  • Perform model changeovers on equipment and machines.
  • Conduct first-level (basic) analysis to determine root causes of issues.
  • Maintain 5S standards within the work area.
  • Execute Autonomous and Preventive Maintenance activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement process improvements (Kaizen and Poka-Yoke initiatives).
  • Support engineering activities for new production line installations.
  • Disposition nonconforming material according to established procedures.
  • Manage the disposal of wastewater generated by the PCB washing machine.

 

Requirements:

  • Technical Degree in Electronics or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic/Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT, Post Assembly, or Electronic Soldering.
  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Certification required.
  • Experience reading assembly drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and routers.
  • Knowledge of ESD controls, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.
  • Experience with PCB washing equipment, ovens, and soldering stations.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Basic English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and Pneumatics.
  • Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience handling chemicals and production equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
