Job Description:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for maintaining, controlling, and reporting inventory status in process materials, generating action items to obtain established inventory levels in manufacturing process areas and suggesting and implementing process changes in material flow.
What you will do:
- Generate reports for manufacturing on inventory status levels
- Notify when shortages are identified
- Data entry of finished goods and subinventory transfers
- Place orders to Suppliers
- Receipt raw materials and MRO into the system
- Analyze and Solve negative inventories
- Notify when non-conformed materials are identified
- Support manufacturing requirements on material deliveries to production
- Generate and maintain records on inventory status by work in process areas
- Monitor packaging levels and maintain optimum levels
- Participate in cycle count activities and physical inventory
- Keep archived and well-organized forms and paperwork
- Perform periodic audits in the warehouse and floor in order to keep the inventory accurate
- Coordinate shipments of Finished Goods and/or Raw materials to Customers and/or External Warehouse
- Assist in various tasks as required by Materials Management
What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma; College degree preferred; 5 years of experience in warehousing
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Office software (Excel)
- Knowledge of ERP Software is a plus (Oracle)
- English language preferred
