Job Title:  Quality Technician

The Quality Technician performs direct evaluations of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established requirements and to support the production of high-quality products. This position also supports the Operations team during internal and external audits.

The position identifies areas for improvement through the use of quality tools, supports the implementation of appropriate solutions, and ensures adherence to established standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and actively participate as a member of the audit team, ensuring proper follow-up and completion of resulting corrective actions.
• Assist in troubleshooting process issues that may impact product quality and/or the Quality Management System.
• Collect objective evidence and verify the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions, ensuring proper and timely documentation in accordance with established standards.
• Define acceptance criteria by reviewing customer-specific requirements.
• Analyze process failures and gather relevant information to support root cause investigations.
• Create statistical and quality charts to analyze data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
• Audit PTCs and work with the appropriate teams to develop and implement required actions.
• Support customer service activities related to quality.
• Follow up on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process changes within assigned production lines.
• Ensure proper control of processes and/or products affected by deviations through their expiration dates.
• Inspect and validate new products on production lines in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Support process standardization and systematization through the implementation of work instructions, forms, and other controlled documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality department.
• Technical degree or partial university studies in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Technical-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience using basic measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
• Experience in final product assembly and/or PCBA manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronic assembly inspection and acceptance criteria (IPC-A-610) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different organizational levels.
• Basic knowledge of Core Tools, including MSA, SPC, Control Plans (CP), PFMEA, and PPAP.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications for components, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
