Job Description: 

The Production Technician is responsible for optimizing equipment performance and production line efficiency by minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring product quality in compliance with manufacturing standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble products in accordance with engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and routers.
  • Accurately record each completed and inspected operation in the router.
  • Perform inspection and proper packaging of finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Set up production lines and execute model changeovers on equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct basic root cause analysis to identify and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness through 5S practices.
  • Execute autonomous maintenance and support preventive maintenance activities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in processes, quality, and efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and implementation of Poka-Yoke solutions.
  • Support the installation and ramp-up of new production lines.
  • Provide operational support to Engineering for process improvements and validation.
  • Properly identify and dispose of non-conforming materials in accordance with procedures.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical certification required.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, machining, or related field is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
  • TIG welding certification is a plus.
  • Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Job-specific training will be provided for each assigned operation.
