Job Description:
The Production Manager will be a member of the manufacturing leadership team, responsible for multiple departments in one of our BU in Reynosa, instilling a culture of continuous improvement. Their primary responsibility is to manage the daily operations of key manufacturing departments, problem solving gaps in operational metrics and executing plans to drive long term improvements in customer lead times and delivery.
Responsabilities
- Responsible to maintain, keep and implement a safe and clean production floor/work stations and work environment
- Administer resources to meet weekly schedules in a timely manner keeping in targets all other KPI’s ( Key Performance Indicators)
- Coach, and manage production supervisors and group leaders; on effective administration of employees distribution and equipment resource administration
- Able to calculate labor requirements based on schedule and engineering routes
- Stongly familiarized in working in a Mexican Union environment and coordinate with Human Resources Department in all possible issues within the production floor
- Coordinate overall corrective actions looking for continual improvement based on KPI’s or customer feedback
- Follow up on overall continuos improvement projects making sure they are completed on time
- QMS follow up and CI implementation under areas on responsibility
- Able to train others, gemba individual and ready to address any need to leadership management
- Elaborate and follow up the corrective and preventive actions derived from any opportunity
- Collaborate in the planning of the future weeks of production
Requirements
- College degree preferred (Industrial Engineering or related field)
- Bilingual Spanish-English; able to communicate basic opportunities to external functions and/or management
- Minimum of five (5) years of ascertainable experience in production area working with ISO 9000 environments
- Able to supervise and build working teams, problem solving and innovative
- Strong leadership and organization skills; walk the talk and gemba individual
- Excellent communication skills, results oriented and discipline, ownership and responsibility
- Basic knowledge Lean, 5S, Kanban and Six Sigma tools & familiar with ISO 9000 standards requirements
- Inventory control techniques, blue print interpretation, standards for Industrial safety, statistical Process Control, Control Plans, FMEAs.
- Digital skills: Software, Excel (Basic statistics, data manipulation, basic formulas), Power Point (basic presentations)
- Basic measurement equipments (Caliper, Micrometer, weight scale, etc)
