Job Description: 

The Planner will demonstrate and provide advanced professional planning experience of high complexity and variety. Perform both tactical and strategical functions within the organization. Lead or become significantly involved with larger, more complex planning assignments. Lead planning process for area of responsibility and ensures cross-functional consensus is reached on operation demand plans and inventory plans required to support customer service, and revenue objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced professional work related to variety of planning assignments.
  • Manage complex planning studies, development applications and reviews and stays on top of future customer demand.
  • Take responsibility for identifying all production constraints pertaining to production schedules – based off procurement feedback from Purchasing.
  • Provide representation and leadership for Supply Operations in support of organizational requirements/goals, utilizing strong Planning knowledge & Oracle skills.
  • Review and processes complex comprehensive production plan amendments, and reasonings.
  • Use Oracle and tools developed to obtain customer delivery and responsiveness targets, track inventory, supplier scheduling, process, and new production introduction within assigned manufacturing cells.
  • Provide professional planning assistance to other members within the planning department (lower ranks).
  • Demonstrate leadership towards more junior planners within organization.
  • Deliver a consistently high quality of work and ideas.
  • Maintain a proactive, self-directed attitude towards work - not waiting to be told how to take on tasks.
  • Take on projects that provide for continuous improvement of department.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (preferably in machining operations).
  • CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Solid understanding of materials planning processes, especially in machining areas (preferred).
  • Proficient in inventory control methodologies such as Kanban, Cycle Counting, and Safety Stock management.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and electronic components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, Lean Manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven experience in planning activities including:
  • Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
  • Production Line Scheduling
  • Forecasting and demand tracking
  • Inventory control for JIT (Just-In-Time) and Safety Stock (SS) customers
