Job Description: 

The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating actions and managing resources to ensure timely execution of the weekly production schedule, meeting both quality and efficiency standards. This role leads and oversees personnel within the department and ensures adherence to company policies, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

•    Coordinate and manage resources to ensure weekly production schedules are met with quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
•    Oversee human resources tasks such as attendance, overtime, and permissions, aligned with company policies.
•    Investigate process losses and implement corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
•    Monitor and drive continuous improvement projects to ensure timely completion.
•    Ensure proper implementation of the quality management system in all responsible areas.
•    Identify training needs and provide development opportunities for team members.
•    Lead corrective and preventive action processes.
•    Coordinate activities of group leaders and other team members.
•    Establish inventory control mechanisms on the production floor (WIP control).
•    Collaborate in planning upcoming production schedules and capacity needs.

 

Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
•    3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a regulated industry (such as medical devices) preferred.
•    Green Belt / Six Sigma certification preferred. Strong proficiency in Excel (statistics, data management, formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations). Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement tools.
