Job Summary:

The Operations Excellence Manager partners with business leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, align training and improvement initiatives with strategic goals, and ensure ownership and execution of key projects across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Operational Excellence initiatives across the LCR Campus to support Business Unit goals.
  • Apply appropriate continuous improvement tools to execute critical projects effectively.
  • Implement the Operational Excellence strategic roadmap in collaboration with Business, Divisional, and Corporate OpEx leaders.
  • Work with the OpEx Core Team to drive culture change and embed continuous improvement as a core practice.
  • Enhance production efficiency, productivity, and equipment utilization.
  • Deliver training in Lean principles, including value stream mapping, kaizen, SMED, 5S, and more.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processing efficiencies, capacity, and safety.
  • Promote best practices within and beyond the organization to enhance Operational Excellence.
  • Guide and support project charters and kaizen events to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop OpEx Black Belts and kaizen leaders to sustain ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to optimize productivity and growth.
  • Ensure full compliance with EHS, QMS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the Operational Excellence Skills & Capabilities matrix.
  • Coordinate Root Cause Countermeasure processes to address performance gaps.
  • Partner with Finance to validate and track OpEx savings and impact.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software for layout optimization and improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aligned with OpEx strategy and AMETEK objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Six Sigma certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
