Job Description: 

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective provision of materials to meet production requirements, including quality, quantity, and on-time delivery. This role ensures proper material stock levels from warehouse to production workstations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment by complying with all safety, quality, and company regulations.
  • Obtain required materials by coordinating closely with the Purchasing department and Logistics to support production and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain close communication with Production and Engineering to ensure accurate inventory levels and material availability.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and identify failures within materials and logistics processes; lead problem-solving activities related to warehousing operations at REICHERT.
  • Track production orders and work daily with the Purchasing department to expedite material deliveries as needed.
  • Prepare and complete all required shipping and export documentation including commercial invoices, NAFTA documentation, certifications, hazardous materials paperwork, shipper’s export declarations, bills of lading, international air waybills, packing slips, shipping instructions, and country-specific requirements.
  • Manage and operate third-party shipping systems and software such as FedEx, UPS, and TNT.
  • Coordinate and execute shipping processes, including logistics and documentation.
  • Oversee raw material receiving activities and perform all inventory transactions within company web-based systems.

 

Education & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems such as MAX, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Forklift operation experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and demonstrate emotional intelligence.
  • Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset.
